Racists trolls attack Mac cosmetics after they post photo of a black woman’s lips

Lask week, MAC Cosmetics’s Instagram page was bombarded with racist comments after they posted a picture of Ugandan-born Aamito Lagum, 23, sporting one of their lipsticks (Royal romance).The photo of Aamito, winner of Africa’s Next Top Model, was taken during New York Fashion Week.

The post quickly attracted offensive comments referencing Aamito’s appearance and ethnicity.

Currently, the post has amassed more than 30,000 comments. Aamito kept her cool by posting an article (below) on her Instagram page. She captioned it: ‘My lips giving you sleepless nights. On @maccosmetics IG. ‘Thankyou @maccosmetics for this killer color and to that makeup artist .ama get me 3 of these.’

And Mac made their position in the issue clear with the following post.
