A Dubai court sentenced a policeman to one month in prison on Monday for posting a video showing Argentine football superstar Lionel Messi’s passport on social media, as reported by local media, Gulf News Daily.

The said police offer identified as J.J admitted to being wrong for posting the video via Snapchat, although, the said incident happened in December, when the Barcelona player attended the Globe Soccer Awards.

When Messi’s plane landed and was going through immigration, J.J, wanted to take a picture with the Barcelona player, but was told the player was tired from travelling.

In J.J’s own words,“I then went to the passport control desk and noticed that Messi’s passport had been left there, so I picked it up and shot a video of myself while holding it,” it quoted the policeman as saying.
